TIMELY NOTES!
The future is bright! Yes, likewise the sun. But what have you achieved with your bright future? The sun doesn’t shine for nothing; it shines so that men can have enough light to work. The sun is bright, but nobody goes to it. NASA has actually confirmed that traveling to the sun is not a journey that any human can survive, and that’s why they plan to send a probe in 2018. Consequently, our future is also bright, but nobody goes to it, not even a time machine. The brightness of our future is only an advantage to our present. If you don’t do any productive thing with your present, the brightness of your future will be irrelevant.
Jesus is the sun of righteousness, the bright and morning star, and the future of every christian. My father used to say “the future looks bleak”; but if Jesus is our future, then it means that our future cannot look bleak; rather, it will continually be bright. However, the problem is not the bleak or bright future, it is our weak responsibility towards our present. No matter how bright our future may be, if we don’t embrace the present, we’d never maximize its brightness. Life is sweet, only if we learn to face our pasts without regrets and handle our present with confidence.
