THE WORTH OF MY CELEBRATION…
The enemy always had a field day until Jesus was born. But the same day Jesus was born, terror and discomfort entered the camp of the enemy. When others were thinking of how to give baby Jesus a gift, Herod was planning to kill Him.
If the birth of Jesus was a threat to the kingdom of darkness, then what is the worth of our celebration?
His birth also gave birth to a generation of saviours. Saviours in industries, education, career, and relationships. Obadiah 1:21 confirms this when it said “saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s”. One of the statements that Jesus made before He left the earth was that “He who believes in Him will do the works He had done, and even greater works”. Before Jesus came, many believers were ruled by circumstances, but today, it is the other way around.
Since I gave my life to Christ, everyday has been Christmas for me. People say “Jesus is the reason for the season”, true, but I’d like to add that “HE IS THE REASON WHY I’M NOT THE CHICKEN”. <smiles>
Do not forget; we are celebrating a personality that is very much alive. Jesus is not dead! So celebrate this day like you would celebrate the birthday of a close friend or a loving father. Draw a schedule, and reference Him all through your celebration. Let us make Him know that we love Him, and we are celebrating His birthday with Him. It is not our birthday, but Jesus’ birthday. He is the reason for the season!
God bless you, merry Christmas, and don’t forget that Jesus loves you!
