TIMELY NOTES!
How you start the year usually determines how you would end it. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, but the earth which He created was formless, dark, and empty. And after God saw the darkness, emptiness, and formlessness of the earth, the next step He took was to create light. He knew nothing plausible could be created in the absence of light. In John chapter 1, we would discover that it was “The Word” that God engaged in order to create light. As soon as He spoke the word, light came. And God saw that the light was good. If you want to see a good life this year, then you must engage the word.
It may be hard to admit, but the things happening in your life now are the things you created. If the book of Genesis had ended in Genesis 1:2, then God would probably have a negative story. But He admitted that the earth He created was dark, formless and empty; and it was not until then that He began to recreate. Do not let your life end with a story that will not give God glory. Take responsibility for your life, and recreate the things around you by His word.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; GOD RESTED ON THE LAST DAY OF CREATION. IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE A RESTFUL END THIS YEAR, THEN ENGAGE HIS WORD. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
