TIMELY NOTES!
To secure victory in any situation, first secure God’s presence. Moses understood this principle in Exodus 33:15 when he told God that “if your presence will not go with us, then don’t send us…”. In Ps 114:3, the bible tells us that when the Red Sea saw the people of Israel coming, it hurried out of their way, and the water of the Jordan River turned away. The Contemporary English Version says, “When the sea looked at God, it ran away, and the Jordan River flowed upstream”. If you remember the scenario at the Red Sea, it never divided until Moses introduced the power of God. Situations will only remain as long as you’ve not engaged His presence in those situations. When God arises, enemies scatter.
When they reached Jericho, they were faced with a wall that was impossible to be brought down. But God told Joshua that all they needed to do was to engage His presence again. So Joshua arranged for some priests to carry the ark of God round the wall for 7 days and 7 times on the 7th day, as God instructed. At the 7th time of the 7th day, they all shouted for joy, and the wall fell down flat. That wall was an impossible case, but God’s presence must have softened it within the first 6 days. When Jesus was told that Lazarus was dead, He stayed back for some days to secure God’s presence. And when He finally went to honour their call, He raised Lazarus back to life. He spent two days securing God’s presence, and spent just a few minutes raising Lazarus from the dead. God’s presence softens complex situations.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; WHEN GOD IS IN YOUR MIDST, THE OPPOSITION MAY BE SEEING YOU, BUT THEY’D BE FEELING GOD. THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED TO THE JORDAN RIVER. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
