TIMELY NOTES!
If you ever want to get to the city, then start by meeting people who have been to the city. The bible says “the labour of the foolish wearies everyone because he doesn’t know how to get to the city”. To get to the top, meet or read about people who have been to the top. Don’t tell me you know Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, do you also know great men like Fela Durotoye, Dr Strive Mayisiwa, Charles Aladewulo and many others? Who do you even know? Your life will be rich only by the richness of your association with people at the top. Even if you successfully travel to the city alone, you need people to stay there.
The church needs to wake up; your pastors may teach you spirituality, but many of them won’t teach you politics, they won’t teach you business, they won’t teach you leadership, they won’t even teach you how to make money. Yes, they won’t teach you how to make money! God’s principle teaches us how to attract prosperity, but engaging God’s principle without work will end in futility. No matter how much you give, if you don’t work, you may not receive. That’s why the bible says “God will bless the works of our hand”. My point is, we all need to learn from these men at the top, whether they’re born again or not; possessing the knowledge they have will help us make the most of our Christian life. It’s foolishness to despise a man who has the knowledge that can help you get to the city.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Notes. But take these last words; STUDY THE WORD, BUT ALSO STUDY THE WORLD. THE WORD YOU STUDY WILL HAVE NO RELEVANCE IF IT CAN’T BE APPLIED TO THE WORLD. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
