TIMELY NOTES!
Christianity is like a tree; Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. As a Christian, don’t expect to bare fruits without a firm connection to Jesus. If the fruit you bare is not pleasant, then check your connection to the vine. James 1:17 tells us that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”. These means that God passes good and perfect gifts through Jesus The Vine; and if that’s the case, you can’t possibly bare fruits that are contrary to good and perfect.
I’ve come to discover that being a branch is more than just receiving Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you need to receive His Holy Spirit too. Peter and the other disciples could comfortably act as branches before Jesus was captured, but after He was captured, they all fled. Peter even denied Christ three times. They had received the person of Jesus, but they couldn’t bare fruits because Jesus was no longer with them. But things changed after they received the Holy Spirit; Peter who denied Jesus before a little girl could now speak about Him before thousands of people, including rulers. The Holy Spirit comes into us to enable us do things that comes through Jesus The Vine. Without the Holy Spirit, we can’t be successful branches.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; AS CHRISTIANS, THERE’S VERY LITTLE WE CAN ACCOMPLISH WITHOUT HIS HELP. HE’S THE ONLY PERSONALITY WHO HAS FREE ACCESS TO THE HEART OF GOD. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
