“Pastor, I really love what you do. Please can you pray for me to receive the same grace you carry?”
Sure, but you may not need my prayers after you read what I’m about to share with you.
I gave my life to Christ in February 2010 and started enjoying divine transformations. In 2011, I was studying the book of Daniel when I suddenly paused; I was overwhelmed by the strange acts of Daniel. After a deep thought, I held on to my computer screen – which was were the PC Bible was installed, and prayed “Lord Jesus, I receive the same gifts you gave to Daniel, the gifts that made him ten times better than his peers, and also helped him dissolve hard sentences”.
I was just a young believer, yet I desperately desired to operate the way Daniel did. Surprisingly, I started teaching and writing the same year. I wrote very complex things in very simple ways. At some point, I even interpreted the dreams of friends. It was so obvious that I couldn’t doubt where it came from. Till date, I still write very complex things in very simple ways.
Nobody took their grace to heaven. Every grace that has ever manifested in this world was left here in this world. The mantle of Elijah did not fall on Elisha, rather, it fell on the ground. Elisha only had access to the grace on Elijah when he picked up the mantle from the ground. And he didn’t just pick up the grace, he picked up a double portion of the grace that worked in Elijah. If Elijah’s grace fell on the ground, then many other graces fell on this ground. And just as Elijah said, if we can see these graces, then we can possess them.
Daniel’s grace fell on the ground, I saw it and fervently asked God for it, and it is working for me. Joseph’s grace must have fallen on this ground. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, John, Peter, Paul, Timothy, and even Jesus. Jesus left the grace He operated with on this earth; He even went further by sending us His Holy Spirit. In John 14:27, Jesus said “Peace I leave with you…”. He didn’t take those virtues away, He left them here with us, we only need to see them before we can benefit from them. You must have heard that “seeing is believing”, but as far as grace is concerned, SEEING IS RECEIVING.
There is no better way to see the grace these people carried than to study about them. It was in the cause of studying that I saw something I liked about Daniel. And because I saw it, I had the right to replicate the grace. The only grace you can’t have is the one you’ve not found.
When I say “see”, I don’t mean seeing with your physical eyes, I mean seeing with the sight of revelation. This kind of seeing can only be sponsored by the Spirit of God. First is to desire it, then begin to study about them through their materials. The more you study about them or listen to them, the closer you draw to the grace at work in them. The grace isn’t necessarily in what they’ve written or what they are saying, it’s a spirit that can only be transfered as you attend to their words. Now you’d understand the scripture that says, “and the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me”.
Speaking of receiving grace from the living, grace is also transferable among the living. I heard Bishop David Abioye for the first time in 2010. I fell in love with him and his teachings. If you search my phone that time, 90% of the messages you’d find would be his messages. While I was listening to a recorded message by him in 2011, I got so stirred up and uncomfortable with myself. I wondered why a man would be preaching like that. Then I developed this feeling of great dissatisfaction which led me to pray “Father, whatever is making him teach like that, I want it now”. Ofcourse, God gave it to me, and that’s because I saw it. I saw the grace working in him, I desired it, and God released it upon me.
You can’t receive graces without embarking on a journey of searching the materials of the engraced one. “You shall search for me and find me when you search for me with all your heart”. And this doesn’t mean you have to be bugging them with phone calls, I’ve never had to call any of those people I received grace from.
I have received the grace at work in many other people, including writers. Someone once told me that any time she reads my writeups it was always as if an angel was talking to her. That was a gift I received from Dr Jerry Savelle. I hunt for graces on a daily basis, and that’s why I can’t envy anyone. If I like what you have, instead of envying you, I just take it. It’s far easier to replicate what you have than to envy you
For those who are still living, in addition to seeing and desiring the grace they carry, you may need to add value to their life and ministry to expedite the process. Yes, add value to the life of the one whom you desire the grace upon his life. Bishop David Oyedepo sold Kenneth Hagin’s books and spoke about him to almost everyone he met. Today, he has fully replicated the grace Kenneth Hagin carried.
Matt 6:33 says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you”. If seeking the advancement of God’s kingdom can add all things to you, then seeking the advancement of any anointed vessel will naturally add the graces they carry to you.
I hope this has brought enlightenment to someone.
Remain ever blessed, in Jesus precious name!
