Let me show you why you didn’t achieve your goals in the last two months…
So March has started, which obviously means January and February are gone. A whole 60 days has gone! Oh Lord!
Let me guess, you tried to gather capital to start a new business, or you planned to get a new job, or maybe you just planned to make a business trip.
“Anslem, you won’t believe it, January and February were so tough. I couldn’t even achieve one of my goals”
That’s an excuse bro. You clearly didn’t read Hebrews 4:2 before you set those goals.
Hebrews 4:2
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
So yes, you didn’t mix your plans with faith. You probably planned to wait till a certain resource or a certain capital was supplied, and since the supply didn’t happen, you didn’t reach that goal.
Oh, I know you probably turned to God at the dime moment, but sorry bro, that’s not how it works.
“THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH”
Yes, both setting the goals and its actualization has to be done in faith. We walk by faith, not by sight.
If you claim to be a Christian, then that’s the only acceptable way to live, by faith. Any other way may frustrate you. Abi, what’s the difference between you and the professional who isn’t saved?
I know you’re probably a master when it comes to goal setting, you know all the strategies to successful goal setting and actualization. But hey, times have changed, if you don’t master how to mix your goals with faith, you’d wake up one morning and realize that those who you mentored have gone far ahead of you – while you struggle. And when you ask them, they’d tell you that they applied every principle you taught them in faith.
They’d tell you that although they learnt those principles, but their confidence wasn’t in those principles, but in God with whom nothing shall be impossible.
A time is coming when faith will be taught in schools. I don’t mean CRS (Christian Religious Studies), I mean FAITH. And it won’t be a borrowed subject, it will be a compulsory subject for every level of every course.
So while you study medicine, you’d study faith alongside. You’d come to understand that though you can prescribe a drug but it’s God that heals.
The good thing about being a faith practitioner is that you’d be compelled to set goals that are bigger than you. God is less committed when you set goals that are your size, and that’s because you didn’t give Him space to manifest Himself.
So yes, I know you probably don’t have a dime right now, but you can still further your education this year, and that’s because you’re in partnership with a God by whom nothing is impossible.
I know you probably don’t have a degree, but you can still get a good job. When confronted with an impossible situation, learn to suspend your mind and let faith lead.
If you need to start a business that needs huge capital and you don’t know who to turn to, don’t worry, your God shall supply all your need ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES in glory by Christ Jesus. If He inspired the idea, then He will finance it, just walk by faith, and not by sight.
So while you read your business books, ensure you also study His word to get the assurance you need. Business books may give you ideas, but His word gives you assurance. It’s the idea combined with His assurance that brings success.
I hope this has brought enlightenment to someone.
I pray that all your goals will be achieved this month, in Jesus name! Happy new month and remain ever blessed!
