DON’T KEEP SECRETS!
DON'T KEEP SECRETS!
Alright, keep secrets, but not the ones that need to be spoken, seen, and shown to the people around you. I particularly like today's Timely Notes, it talks about the 3 kinds of life that a man lives; the public life, the private life, and the secret life.
I've honestly thought that our private life is a secret life, not until I began to meditate on the points from today's Timely Notes. Though the scriptures translate "private" as "secret"; but the secret that Timely Notes talked about is the one that only you can see, the one from your spirit.
How do you respond to situations? I recently read a story about a man who was wealthy because he was contented, and contented because he was wealthy. He only had a farmland, but everybody knew he was wealthy, because he was contented. One night, a priest visited him and told him the value of a diamond, and how rich he could become if he possessed a little portion of diamond. And for the first time in a long while, this man slept as a poor man. Not because he lost anything, but because he was discontented. Humorously, everybody knew when he became poor, not because he didn't have what he had, but because he became discontented.
If we live by the outward life, we won't make the most of our purpose in life. But if we live by the fruits of the spirit, our outward life will fulfill purpose. The secret life is a life that is lived by the fruit of the Spirit; and the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. If the situations around you are positively controlled by these fruits, then you're living a good secret life.
Let me conclude with this; don't lose patience when you should have it. Don't hate when you should love. Don't mourn when you should be joyful. Don't start a rage when you should hold your peace. Don't be hostile when you should display kindness. In summary, don't be weak when you should be strong; the fruit of the Spirit is always the stronger character. May God give us understanding!
God bless you, I love you, and don't forget to share!
