IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO WALK IN GOD’S PLAN…
I’ve met people who are worried that they’ve messed up, or that they’ve become too old to begin to walk in God’s purpose for their lives. Many of them feel like they no longer hear the beautiful things that God used to talk to them about in their early days.
Well, if you feel like that too, then you’re not the first one. Abram was also like that. God had great plans for him until he messed up and slept with Hagar who eventually gave birth to Ishmael. Somehow, that event closed the communication and communion between Abram and God for over 12 years.
But God is merciful; He appeared to Abram again when he was already 99 years old and made a new covenant with him. In other words, God gave him a new purpose at that age. To prove that it was a new purpose, God changed his name from Abram to Abraham, meaning that he’d father many nations. That was the new purpose!
So it’s never late to walk in God’s purpose for your life. This may be contrary to popular belief, but it’s true. Didn’t the bible say “at old age you shall still bring forth fruit?”. My point is; if you’ve become too old to do what God initially wanted you to do, He has many other things you can do.
Job 23:14 specifically emphasizes this truth when it said “God performs the things that are appointed for us, and many of such things are with Him”. That further explains that in case you lost the opportunity before, God still has more opportunities for you.
Therefore, my charge for you is this; get back to God and His word. Because in Him, you’d find purpose for the young and the aged. No one is ever too old or too late to walk in God’s plan. May God give us understanding!
God bless you, I love you, and don’t forget to share!
