TIMELY NOTES!
God started resting from the seventh day of creation, and till date, I’ve not found a scripture that says God has stopped resting. All the works that really required His efforts could only be found within the first six days; any other work that comes afterwards can be done even while He’s still resting. Jesus proved this principle when a storm began to shake the boat where He was resting. His disciples were totally disorganized; but here was Jesus who came out and rebuked the storm. The storm that was raging to kill the disciples was something that Jesus rebuked in His resting state.
If Jesus rebuked the storm in His resting state, He won’t need to start a war to give you a marital breakthrough, or to give you a job. He won’t need to resume work just to give you your heart desires. As long as what you need won’t require Him to recreate the Sun or the Moon, or even the entire earth, then He can fix it in His resting state. If that’s the case, then we all need to enter into that kind of rest. It’s a state where all the struggles of life becomes almost irrelevant to you. Someone once asked Bishop David Oyedepo if he ever has problems; he responded saying, “Maybe it came and I didn’t know”. Heb 4:8-12 tells us how to enter into that rest; it says, “Therefore remaineth rest for the people… They that have believed do enter into rest.. Let us therefore labour to enter into that rest”. The rest is available, but you’d need to labour in faith to get there.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH. THE MORE BATTLES YOU WIN BY FAITH, THE CLOSER YOU DRAW TO THAT REST. Have a most fruitful week, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
