There is no anger in the world, there are only people thinking angry thoughts – and acting out on those thoughts. Anger is not something that just happens because someone stepped on your toes, no! It is something you choose to express. Nobody has anger genes inside of him; every angry person ignorantly developed a force within them that produces anger.
Anger is a seed of destruction! Living with anger is simply carrying about a seed that would grow up to destroy you. Jesus made it easier for us to live an anger-free life when He said “we shouldn’t pay evil for evil. And if someone slaps you on one cheek, be calm enough to turn to the other cheek”. Come to think of it; a person who will not react at the first slap and still propose a second slap can never get angry. I’ve read of two occasions where Jesus got angry in scriptures; the first was when he saw that the temple had been turned to a market place, and the second was when the fig tree didn’t produce fruit in its due season. These means that Jesus got angry at things that were working against the kingdom of God. I wouldn’t even call that anger, because He was working according to His purpose. His anger didn’t create problems, it solved problems. I get angry when people are cheated by their thoughts – because my assignment is to bring knowledge to them so that they can think the right thoughts.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; IT’S NOT THE ACTS THAT MAKE YOU ANGRY, IT’S THE WAY YOU PROCESS THE ACTS. ALWAYS IMAGINE THAT IF YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THE ACT THEN YOU WON’T BE ANGRY. Have a most fruitful week, in Jesus precious name!
