Sickness is of the devil; but doctors are not. In fact, I believe God discovered that some of the devil’s affliction could be cured medically, that was why He inspired the existence of doctors. The fact that sickness is of the devil means that every sickness can be tackled by faith; but if your faith fails in the day of battle, please use medication. It’s better to use a painkiller than to be killed by pain. I feel bad whenever I hear news of believers who suddenly lost their lives. Report mostly show that they had been nursing sicknesses in their body. And honestly, if you check, many of them claimed that they had faith.
The ultimate goal of sickness is to kill. That’s why even small headache that only requires two tablets of paracetamol may take a person’s life if not treated on time. In Jeremiah 8:22, the bible makes reference to medication and doctors when it said, “Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?”. I believe prophet Jeremiah expected that they would have sought medical attention instead of waiting for him. Let’s be wise; instead of nursing a sickness for many years, hoping that one day your faith will deliver you, why not see if there is a medical remedy for it? The truth is, God wants you to be well, whether you use medicine or not. You may not know this, but if a medicine can heal you, then Jesus has performed a miracle in your life.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; BUILD YOUR FAITH TO A POINT WHERE SICKNESS CANNOT PENETRATE. BUT WHEN IT DOES PENETRATE, FIGHT IT WITH ALL THE OPTIONS YOU HAVE. ITS MISSION IS TO STEAL, KILL, AND DESTROY. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
