TIMELY NOTES!
Satan doesn’t care about you having faith; rather, he cares about you having faith in God’s word. Faith is a persuasion or conviction about a thought or an idea. Anybody can have faith; but the question is, what do you have faith in? The bible talks about “taking the shield of faith, which can be used to quench all the fiery darts of the devil”. But what shields your faith is the word or conviction behind the faith. Satan doesn’t have to stop your faith, he just needs to change your conviction that “God cannot supply all your needs” or that “God is no longer the Lord that heals”. But until he’s able to change your conviction, he can’t defeat you.
That was how he succeeded in making Adam and Eve naked. Eve initially rejected the fruit because she believed what God said, but Satan deceived her by changing what she believed. Faith in God’s word builds a shield or a hedge of protection around you. Satan couldn’t make them naked until he changed what they believed. That was the kind of shield that was around Job; Satan particularly complained that God had built an edge round about him. Job activated that shield by “fearing God and eschewing evil”. Even when fear gave the devil access into his life, he didn’t change his belief. And for that reason, he was restored.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; WHAT IS SHIELDING YOUR FAITH? IS IT REALLY GOD’S WORD? AND IF IT’S GOD’S WORD, DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT? DON’T JUST GO ABOUT QUOTING SCRIPTURES YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND, SIT DOWN AND SEEK UNDERSTANDING! THAT’S HOW TO BREAK-FREE FROM SATAN. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
