TIMELY NOTES!
The bible didn’t say “A Christian that gives to the poor shall not lack”; rather, it says “He that gives to the poor shall not lack”. While most of God’s laws applies to believers, there are some of His laws that applies to everyone, including unbelievers. For instance, Ecc 9:11 says “Time and chance happens to all”. In other words, every man will definitely get a time or an opportunity to prove himself. Gen 8:22 says “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”. Just as night and day affects everyone, the law of giving and receiving works for everyone, including unbelievers.
Many believers have wondered why most renown organizations and government sectors are run by unbelievers; the answer is not so far from those scriptures, they maximized their chance and they submit to the law of giving and receiving. It’s amazing how unbelievers practice giving more than those who sit down to confess God’s word on a daily basis. God will prefer to put an unbeliever in power as long as certain people’s need will continue to be met, rather than putting a believer who does not have a giving heart or who does not know how to maximize opportunities. Jesus may be interceding for us in heaven, but their giving and diligence is also interceding for them. That’s why no matter how much you curse a giver, he’d still be increasing. This war is tougher than we think; taking over the world must begin by taking over our hearts.
