TIMELY NOTES!
Goals are like ladders, they help you reach your desires. But I’ve come to discover that most people never reach their desires because they mistake their desires for their goals. For instance, I desired to write books, but I had to set goals to consciously write something on a daily basis, especially as the idea comes. Some people will turn it the other way round; they’d make writing books their goal and never get to achieve that goal. Building a house, buying a car, having a good relationship or getting married are not goals, they are desires; and if you want to reach them, then you must set working goals.
Identify the harvest, then find the seed that will produce it. While desire may be something you hope to achieve in the future, goals are the steps you deliberately take to achieve it. If you want to earn more money, then think of a stream of income that will get you more money. If you want to advance your career, then subject yourself to necessities that will advance your career. Desiring to have a better prayer life will remain a desire until you set goals that will kick-start your prayer life. According to scriptures, your desires are achievable as long as you believe. But to prove that you believe, you need to set workable goals and start working on them. That’s how to receive your desires.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; SHOW ME YOUR FAITH WORKS, AND I’D SHOW YOU HOW CLOSE YOU ARE TO YOUR DESIRE. FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEAD. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
