TIMELY NOTES!
Goliath had been training from his youth, David was only a youth. That was what King Saul told David while he tried to talk him out of facing Goliath. Of course, experience should be considered before you embark on any journey, but when God needs the breakthrough to be urgent, He engages His expertise. Normally, no amount of training would have made Elijah to outrun chariots, but since it was urgent on God, God empowered him to outrun chariots. David would have needed several years of training to face Saul, let alone Goliath; but God empowered him to defeat Goliath, because it was urgent. There are times when God chooses to speed things up just to avoid a disaster.
We need to understand times and seasons. Normally, seed time and harvest have waiting periods inbetween, but the bible recognizes a timing when the harvest will follow immediately after the seed is sown to the ground. If Elijah had walked or ran on his regular speed, the rain would have caught up with him. If David had waited to be trained, the Philistines would be ruling the people of Israel today. I wrote 27 books in one year; even if the only thing I do is to write, there’s no way my experience would have accomplished that. But God enabled me to write them because it was urgent on Him to release the information in them. Don’t give God excuses about your experience when He is telling you to move. The moment He says “move”, then forget your experience and focus on His expertise.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; IMAGINE IF MOSES DIDN’T GO FORWARD WHEN THEY REACHED THE RED SEA? THE EGYPTIANS WOULD HAVE CAUGHT UP WITH THEM. SOMETIMES IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU, BUT ABOUT GOD. Have a most fruitful weekend, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
P.S: Please don’t hesitate to drop your comments or questions. Questions will be responded to within 24-hours.
