TIMELY NOTES!

“What will I tell them when they ask for who sent me?”. That was what Moses asked God after a long conversation with Him. You’d think God will begin by listing all His accolades, but instead, He used two words to describe Himself, “I AM”. “Tell them” I AM” sent you”. He continued in Exo 3:15 by saying “thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations”.

Did you notice the word “memorial”? What memory does your name bring to people? God connected His name to what He did for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In other words, it’s okay to call God “Saviour”, “Destiny Changer”, “Protector”, “Restorer”, and many other titles you can think of when you meditate on the events between Him and our fathers. God’s name is connected to God’s acts. This passes a strong message; the name they gave you at birth doesn’t determine your future, it’s the name you get from your acts. Jabez’s name was connected to a sorrowful memory, but his act of faith changed his name. Consequently, even if your name is “Joy and Peace”, without an effort to make impact in life, all you’d have is a name that isn’t connected to any memory.

That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; LIKE GOD, LET YOUR NAME BE CONNECTED TO A MEMORY; OR AT LEAST, GET A NAME THAT WILL. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!

And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it.

P.S: Please don’t hesitate to drop your comments or questions. Questions will be responded to within 24-hours.
