TIMELY NOTES!
Life is full of equations, and the bible is like a book containing examples of these equations. In Rom 15:4 the bible tells us that “whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope”. Did you see that? Everything that was written in scriptures were written as an example that we can learn from. The bible isn’t just a book that gives us verses to quote, it’s a book that gives us examples to follow. Both Joshua 1:8 and Prov 4:20-22 tells us that if we would follow the guidelines of scriptures then we’re sure to have the best of life.
If you need supernatural supplies for instance, don’t just quote Phil 4:19, saying that “God shall supply all your needs…”. Before the Macedonian church qualified for that declaration, they did something first. It’s wisdom to follow the example, and possibly apply the same formula and techniques they applied. Quoting Phil 4:19 without following what they did before verse 19 is like writing the final answer to a mathematical equation without showing the solution. Don’t mistake final answer with the solution; your final answer may be right, but if you don’t show the steps, you won’t pass the test. We all know that the final answer to sickness is health, and the final answer to poverty is wealth; but of what use is the final answer if you don’t follow the steps that will get you there.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Notes. But take these last words; MANY BELIEVERS ARE LIVING THEIR LIVES WITH “FINAL ANSWERS”, AND THAT’S WHY MANY OF THEM DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO SHOW FOR THEIR CHRISTIANITY. LASTING CHANGE COMES FROM FOLLOWING EXAMPLES. Have a most fruitful week, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
