TIMELY NOTES!
When man was created, he was given dominion over the earth. If you’ve observed the life of a natural man, he’d always believe that no height is too high to scale. He’d do all he can until he gets to the top. But his dominion didn’t cover demons, and that’s why he was helpless when the devil striped him of his authority. Though man still has that dominion, but the devil is in charge. What’s the use of dominion if you can’t make the calls? The devil has since developed a strategy of influencing man’s efforts, and this has made progressing difficult for the natural man. So while man tries to exercise his dominion, he gets stock, because he doesn’t have the authority. This explains why many people are stagnated in life, “no authority”.
Things changed when Jesus came. Jesus didn’t come to restore our dominion, He came to restore and finetune our authority. The former authority that was given to us was to rule over the earth, but Jesus added authority to thread upon serpents and scorpions, such that nothing shall hurt us by any means. He went further to say that if the devil was our only concern, then “no weapon formed against us shall prosper”. In other words, through Christ, man is no longer limited in his dominion. If this is this case, why do many believers “sit with Jesus” and ignore their responsibilities to the earth? Why do they still allow men who have not received Christ rule over the earth? Most of this men at the top don’t have what it takes to cast out demons, so demons will continue to influence their decisions until believers wake up to their human responsibilities. Don’t just cast out demons, take steps to rule over your nation; that’s our first assignment.
