Who told you I don’t have a right to get rich? The bible says Jesus became poor so that we can pass through His poverty and become rich. Jesus is our license to get rich! But having a license doesn’t automatically bring you riches, you still need to put certain things in place. Having a visa grants you access to travel into a nation, but you still need to buy your travelling ticket. Jesus may have given us the visa through salvation, but we need to buy our ticket through the covenant of giving, working and receiving. Working? Yes! After giving, don’t sit down and wait for God to do a miracle. Go and work, God only blesses the works of our hands.
Don’t be deceived, quoting prosperity scriptures alone won’t get you rich. It may meet your needs, but it won’t make you rich. Practicing the covenant of giving, working and receiving brings you to a state of sufficiency and abundance; such that before needs arise, supplies will be waiting. Giving is God’s remedy for begging; if you don’t want to beg, then give. I once defined “A Giver” as someone who considers begging to be a sin. Honestly, that’s how I feel when the thought of begging crosses my mind, as if I’d sin against God. Begging hurts, giving exalts! If begging doesn’t hurt you, then check your giving life.
