TIMELY NOTES!
This violence didn’t just begin, the bible tells us that “from the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent takes it by force”. Yes, for believers, our dominion in this world has to be by force. But the question is, which force? Except God sends us men like Samson, Believers won’t survive a physical battle. For every one you attack, hundreds of Believers will pay for it with their lives. This did not just start today, it’s been there since the time that Moses attacked an Egyptian guard who was maltreating an Israelite. Pharaoh had to multiply the labour of the Israelites all because one of his own was attacked. Every physical attack we attempt multiplies the sorrow of believers. The recent news even validates this fact.
Our mode of fighting has advanced, and we don’t have to lose a life for it; it’s called the good fight of faith. 2 Cor 10:4 tells us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. That’s why Jesus didn’t give us swords and spears to fight; rather, He says “the weapon of our warfare are not physical, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds”. They imprisoned Paul and Silas, but as they engaged the force of praise, the prison gate broke loose. That encounter created fear in the heart of the opposition and they had to let them go. Peter was captured, but as they engaged the force of prayer for him, an angel appeared and helped him escape from where he was kept. Elijah prayed that food will appear in 24-hours, and it did. That encounter created a vacant seat in the government. This is the kind of force we need to engage.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take this last words; IF WE WANT TO STOP THIS WICKEDNESS AND TAKE OVER POWER, THEN WE MUST ENGAGE ALL THE SPIRITUAL FORCES AT OUR DISPOSAL TO FIGHT THIS BATTLE. Have a most fruitful weekend, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
