TIMELY NOTES!
Life has made it a point of duty to test those who call themselves “Believers”. Have you ever found yourself being accused of something you know nothing about? Perhaps the friend you just met suddenly lost someone or something close to him, or the company you just joined mysteriously lost a business deal, and all they could say is “things like this don’t happen until you came I to my life”. Do people make you feel like a burden to them? Not necessarily because you bother them, but mostly for reasons you know nothing about?
Your Christian life should not be a burden to people, it should be a blessing. On two different occasions, the widow of Zarephath considered Elijah to be a burden. First, she thought that his presence would ration her food. And secondly, she thought that his presence led to her son’s strange illness and demise. But Elijah saw those two tests as opportunities for him to prove that he serves God. And truly, at the end, the widow of Zarephath was compelled to believe that Elijah served a living God. Why wouldn’t she believe, when the same Elijah made her food multiply and raised her dead child? That’s how you should treat challenges; treat them as an opportunity to prove that Jesus Christ is Lord.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; THE DEVIL MAY START A STORM IN THE COMPANY WHERE YOU WORK, BUT DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED, YOU HAVE ALL IT TAKES TO REBUKE THE STORM. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
P.S: Please don’t hesitate to drop your comments or questions. Questions will be responded to within 24-hours.
