TIMELY NOTES!

Many believers have failed to understand that being released from the oppressor does not guarantee a release from oppression, responsibility does. There is no way to fully walk into freedom without shouldering its responsibilities. Salvation may have delivered us from Satan, but it is the responsibility we take to walk in the salvation that God has brought us that guarantees freedom. Deliverance is not freedom!

We’ve been delivered from sin and Satan, but we must take practical steps to be free from sin and Satan. Deliverance breaks the strongholds of our oppressor, but freedom requires living the life that The Deliverer has prescribed for us. The people of Israel were delivered from Egypt, but because they didn’t understand the responsibilities attached to their freedom, they preferred to go back to Egypt to continue living as slaves. Pharaoh still pursued them even after they had been delivered, but it was their responsibility to walk in faith by crossing the sea that guaranteed their freedom.
