“Forgive him, and find a reason to give God thanks for it”. That’s what I told a student while I was teaching about faith yesterday. He explained how his Commandant replaced his name with another person’s name for a promotion he was entitled to. The money that was sent to him was also seized by the Commandant, only because he spoke the truth. He expected that God will fight for him as he stood for the truth, but things didn’t work out as he expected. In fact, his Commandant and fellow military officials mocked him the more for his condition. It’s been many years, but he still feels that pain in his heart. He blames the Commandant for his present predicament, which also affects his wife and children.
Faith is not a one-time force; rather, it is trusting God until your desired result is obtained. The only way to know that your faith has worked is if you see the manifestation of your expectation. If you’ve not seen the manifestation of what you expect, then instead of blaming God, increase your faith. However, if you don’t want your faith to be hindered, always find a reason to thank God in any situation. Also, try as much as you can to live an offence-free life. Unpleasant things may happen, people may offend you, you may even react and pick offence. But after raging, make sure you go back to forgive them, and find a reason to give God thanks for those situations. This way, your joy will not be hindered, and your faith will certainly work. If that student understood this principle, I’m sure he wouldn’t have suffered this long.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; IF SATAN CAN’T STEAL YOUR JOY, THEN HE CAN’T KEEP YOUR GOOD. HE MAY STEAL IT, BUT AS LONG AS YOU MAINTAIN YOUR JOY, HE’D RETURN IT, EVEN IN 7 FOLDS. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
