TIMELY NOTES!
After you’ve prayed to God about a need, never forget to thank Him for meeting that need, even if He hasn’t. Prayer may bring the first supply, but thanksgiving brings the rest. Ten lepers went to Jesus for healing just as we go to God in prayers; the moment he saw them, He told them to go and show themselves to the priests. While they where on their way, they all noticed that their leprosy had been cleansed, even though there were still scars. But out of 10 of them, only one returned to Jesus to give thanks for how much his prayer had done. Surprisingly, Jesus expected that the other nine lepers would also come back, but they didn’t. You know the rest of the story, the one that came back was made perfectly whole.
Jesus was faced with a responsibility to feed over 5 thousand people. His disciples suggested that He let them go to their various houses to feed. But the bible tells us that Jesus knew what He would do. I perceive that while they were making their suggestions, Jesus was communicating with God in prayers. Because all of a sudden, a little boy appeared with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. Listen, If you can see a sign that your prayer has been answered, no matter how little, then give God thanks for the rest. So Jesus took the first supply of bread and fish and thanked God for the them. You know the rest of the story; over 5000 people were fed, and 12 baskets were even left over.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; OFTENTIMES, WHAT GOD RELEASES FIRST IS OFTEN A TEST TO SEE IF YOU STILL NEED THE REST. PRAY FOR THE FIRST, BUT THANK HIM FOR THE REST. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
And hey, don’t forget to “like” it. And if you really like it, please share it!
