TIMELY NOTES!

Do things in a way that you’d preserve enough energy to do it over again. I know a lady who has a beautiful voice, and each time we have a meeting, we’d want her to sing. But the challenge is, she loses her voice each time she sings. And that means she usually cannot go more than one round. If she does, the other sessions will be a struggle. Though she claims it happens when she sings in a tired state, but I think it’s beyond that.

It’s either singing isn’t her passion, or she hasn’t mastered the use of her voice when she sings. I love cooking; and if I fall ill, taking me to the hospital may do less good than taking me to the kitchen. Yes, even when I’m extremely tired, I still find strength to cook for hours. An alternative to passion is acquiring adequate skill on what you do. If that lady goes for a voice training, she’d learn principles that would help her regulate her voice as she sings – so that her voice won’t wear off after her first ministration. My point is, people don’t just like you because you were good, they like you because being good has become a standard. Even the bible admonishes that we should be steadfast and always abounding.
