“Pastor, I want to relocate my business, but I’m not sure if my existing customers will continue with my service. What’s your counsel for me?”

Let me begin by saying that customers would remain with you not because they symbathize with you, but because they benefit from your services. The moment they stop getting that benefit, then be sure to lose them. Customers are not family members.

The danger of relocating a business from a place where you already have a customer base to a new place is that your existing customers can easily switch to a competitor, especially if what you offer is easily replaceable.

So your worry shouldn’t be if your customers will follow you; rather, it should be if the benefits they get from you can be gotten somewhere else. As a Christian, even if you do the same thing as your competitors, there has to be something unique about yours.

If you sell Milk and all your customers get when they patronize you is milk, then don’t expect them to follow you when you relocate. But imagine what will happen if they always experienced a miracle each time they used your milk. They’d not only follow you, they’d probably relocate with you😂. Who doesn’t want a miracle?

This was literally the pattern of Jesus’ earthly ministry. He was never worried about crossing to any region, and that’s because He was offering something that couldn’t be gotten anywhere else. Let me show you a scripture:

John 6:
1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

They probably had magicians who could perform magic on people who were diseased, but they couldn’t compare their magic with the miracles that followed Jesus’ healing ministry. Both categories performed healing, but Jesus’s healing had a miraculous effect. Hallelujah!

So, does your product or service have a miraculous effect? The only reason why they followed Jesus was because they saw the miracle he did on them that were diseased.

I told you about a business man in Taraba State who handles 70 percent of the printing jobs within the state. During political campaigns, most of the politicians ask him to print all their campaign materials because they believe they will win if the printing comes from the man’s printing press. That’s what I call a miraculous effect! Honestly, if your customers don’t feel supernatural about your product or services, then you have work to do.

When God told Bishop David Oyedepo to move from Rajioba to Canaanland, some members adviced him against that move. Their exact question was, “how do we move the people?”. Neighbouring churches began to make billboards and banners proposing to members of Winners Chapel to worship nearby instead of travelling so far, afterall, God is everywhere.

But no! That church had a miraculous effect on people, and could not be easily replaced. So members travelled far every week just to worship the God of Winners Chapel. Today, the same church runs 4 services every Sunday, which means people still travel far to attend services. It’s even worse today, because foreigners fly in weekly to attend services in Canaanland.

When God called me into the office of a Teacher and commissioned me to write, I remember crying to Him that I didn’t want to be a regular inspirational writer or teacher, and that He should place an anointing upon me to communicate spirit and life. Tell me the truth, how do you feel each time you read my articles? Spiritual and full of life, right? That’s the miraculous effect that sponsors my writing.

If you’re a painter, you can have this miraculous effect. If you’re a shoe shiner, you can have this miraculous effect. When the bible says God will bless the works of your hand, what did you think it meant?

That said, ensure you’re diligent and proficient in your job. God does not bless lazy people.
