“Pastor, I always dream of myself as a rich man, but despite everything I’ve done to make money, I’m still poor. Does it mean that it’s God’s will for me to be poor?”

There is a difference between an outcome and the will of God. If you had a dream that your child was kidnapped, and suddenly the next day your child was truly kidnapped, was it the will of God for your child to be kidnapped? No way!

The will of God is properly spelt out in the Bible. Concerning your daughter, God’s will is to preserve her from all evil, and to keep her from all troubles.

Knowing that it’s not the will of God that she should be kidnapped, you’d have to fight for her release. Although, fighting for her release at this point may cost more than it would have if you did something to avert the kidnap when God showed you the dream.

The reason why God shows us dreams of an attack is usually to reveal the devil’s plan against us. The moment He reveals it, wisdom demands that we avert the attack using the word of the Lord. Unfortunately, many ignore dreams like that only to eventually pay darely for it.

God revealed to many people that Peter Obi would lead this nation, but just because another person was declared winner doesn’t mean it is God’s will, it’s just an outcome that can still change if he insists on pursuing the will of God.

When God revealed that he would lead the nation, he should have developed an undefeatable strategy, not just going about to campaign. For instance, did he ensure that the people got PVCs? You’d be surprised that most of the people that joined his campaign didn’t have PVCs. Did he deploy agents to all the polling units across the nation to get copies of results directly? His opponents were probably more strategic, they had PVCs ready for their people. I won’t be surprised if I hear that they also made PVCs difficult to get.

However, just because he didn’t get it the first time doesn’t mean the outcome canceled God’s will. God’s will still stands, and if he’s willing to fight strategically, then God’s will shall manifest. He should go to court with all the evidence he has, and if he doesn’t win, he has the next four years to develop an undefeatable strategy.

Having said that, asides having dreams of seeing yourself in a rich state, the bible already unveiled to us that God’s will for us is prosperity. If the outcome doesn’t look like God’s will, then you have to fight for your prosperity. Invest time in learning the principles of kingdom financial prosperity, and as you learn, practice them. The more you practice, the more you leave the corridor of poverty. And it’s only a matter of time before you prosper.
