“Pastor, what do you have to say about Easter celebration?”
After the fall of man, everyone that was born into this world was born into a world of sin. Such that, even though they’ve never sinned, their entrance into this world made them sinners. That possibility is sponsored by “The law of sin and death”. Read Romans chapter 5, it has a lucid detail about this. But to establish this point, let’s read a summarized version in Romans chapter 8:
Romans 8:
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Though Jesus was born into this world, but He was born with a different law, the law of the Spirit of life. Every child carries the DNA of his father, not the mother; and since the seed in Mary was put there by The Spirit of God, the “DNA” that Jesus carried was clearly the “DNA” of the Spirit of God. No wonder the bible says “He who knew no sin was made sin for us…”.
According to scriptures, if the devil had known that Jesus was operating with a different law, he would not have crucified Him. This law was what enlivened Jesus in hell, empowered Him to defeat Satan, collected the keys of life and death, and resurrected Him on the third day. That scripture says “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made us free from the law of sin and death”.
According to Romans 8:1-3, If Jesus was born by man, He wouldn’t have made it out of hell; but thank God He was born of The Spirit. Jesus was the property of the Spirit of God, not the property of a man that could be condemned by the devil. And because he was the property of the Spirit of God, the Spirit of God could enter anywhere, including hell, to reclaim His property. If Jesus was born by man, that would have been impossible, because every man before Christ operated with the law of sin and death. Death could not hold Jesus down, only because He was born of the Spirit.
What a joy, the moment we surrender our lives to Christ, we also become like Jesus – people who are born of The Spirit, people who operate with the law of the Spirit of life. That simply means, we now have grace to overcome any impossible case around us.
As I conclude, because Jesus lives, you shall live also. And if anything is threatening your new status, engage the power of His resurrection. Remind those situations that you are operating with a different law, and that no matter how complicated they become, you will bounce back.
I hope this has brought enlightenment to someone.
Remain ever blessed, in Jesus precious name!
