HERE ARE TWO THINGS YOU SHOULD PRACTICE THIS MONTH…
1. Plead the blood of Jesus over your life daily.
I recently realized that many Christians who plead the blood of Jesus over their lives do not really understand the depth behind that mystery.
In 1 John 5:8, the bible says, “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one”. Which means if God needs to make a judgement or unveil the truth about a matter on earth, there are only three substances that qualifies to be witnesses, and they are the spirit, the blood, and water. These 3 would always say the same thing, and it’s impossible for them to lie.
Speaking of the blood, we understand from scriptures that blood has a voice in the realm of the spirit. That’s right! Blood can speak, especially spilled blood. After Cain murdered his brother Abel, scripture tells us that the blood of Abel cried out to God for vengeance, and God honored the request. We also see several cases in scriptures where the blood of animals were spilled to make atonement for sin or just for worship to God, and God honored each of them. The purpose of the shed blood would always be fulfilled.
For God to judge a matter, three substances are necessary; the spirit, the blood, and water. Now you’d understand why Jesus had to die, a blood that speaks lasting redemption and atonement had to be shed to redeem God’s creation, without the speaking of that blood from earth, redeeming the world from sin and Satan would have been a struggle. That’s how God created the earth, there had to be a blood witness. Hebrews 9:12 says, “He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption”.
His blood became the stronghold for believers to break through all forms of limitations. Although our sins should incure God’s wrath, we should experience demonic interference every single day, but because of our consciousness of the speakings of the blood of Jesus, we have unhindered access to the blessings of God. I may not deserve this great sacrifice, but that’s what God did for me.
So the next time you want to step out of your house, plead the blood of Jesus over your going out and coming out. And when you are about to go to bed at night, plead the blood of Jesus over your life. When your children are about to go to school, plead the blood of Jesus over their lives. When you’re about to start a project, plead the blood of Jesus over it. No matter what any demon or blood is speaking against you, the blood of Jesus is a superior blood, and it speaks better things. When you’re about to enter a church service, plead the blood of Jesus so that the word can have a free cause in your life. Since I understood this mystery, I’ve not ceased to plead the blood of Jesus.
2. Do everything in the name of Jesus
I’ve taught you before that Jesus wasn’t called “Jesus” before He came into this world, Revelation chapter 19 called His name The Word of God. Revelation even described him as a being that had the figure. His eyes were as a flame of fire, he had many crowns on his head, he was wearing a cloth, out of his mouth proceeded a sharp sword. He sat on a horse, the armies of heaven followed him about. So this Word was a personality.
In John chapter 1, we’re told that this Word was with God in the beginning, and all things were made by Him. The same John even tells us that this Word was God. When The Word became flesh, that’s the very Word that became flesh. The Word became flesh so that among other things, a name could be given to us that would give us power of spiritual forces.
That’s right! Asides the fact that He became flesh to redeem man from sin and Satan, He also made that sacrifice to give man a name that no devil can resist, and that’s the name of Jesus. Before he became flesh, sin and Satan had a field day in oppressing believers. But after He gave believers His name, even the devil was put under subjection. The disciples of Jesus confirmed this in Mark 16:20; they said “even the devil was subject to us in your name”.
Believers could not exercise real power until the name of Jesus was given to them. In Mark 16, Jesus specifically told them that believers could cast out devils, heal the sick, and be delivered from harm, all in his name. You’d recall that it was the name of Jesus that Peter used to heal that scrippled man at the Gate called Beautiful. He didn’t preach a long sermon, neither did he declare scriptures on the crippled man. When they summoned them for questioning to know what power or name they used to do the things they did, Peter didn’t hesitate to tell them that it was the name of Jesus. Let’s see how scriptures put it:
Acts 4:
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Did you notice the question? By what power or by what name have you done this? That’s another revelation on its own. Which means there are two ways by which you get things done in this world, either by power or by a name. Peter could have used financial power to assist that scrippled man, but he decided to use a name.
3. Declare scriptures or pray with scriptures every day
Every day, I have a specific set of scriptures that I declare, morning and night. It ranges from scriptures on protection, preservation, multiplication, provision and so on. I would have shared them with you, but the article is already too long. However, a simple Google search will do justice to that.
It’s already clear that The Word of God is a Spirit, and it can communicate life to you. The more you receive it into your heart, the more it transforms you. I’ve seen this work miracles in my life over the years.
I don’t have prayer points, I just declare scriptures. And when situations arise that should demand prayer, I simply recall the scripture I declared earlier and take my mind off the situation. Believe me, miracles always happen.
4. Give every day, no matter how little
One of the things that giving does to a person is that it enlarges one’s capacity to receive. Many people are not receiving big things only because their heart isn’t big enough to receive. It’s as a man thinks in his heart that he becomes.
I give everyday, no matter how little. This has been a practice for me for many years now, and my life has continued to experience a trabsformation.
Finally, I shouldn’t be the one to tell you that you have to work hard and add value to lives and society this month. Power is only useful when value is being communicated.
I hope this has brought enlightenment to someone.
Remain ever blessed, in Jesus precious name!
