“Common Garri, I Don’t Have…”Thank

God says “you shall have what you say”, but why do many Believers continue to say what they have?

If you keep saying you don’t have Garri at home, then when are you going to have it? “Sir, I don’t have rice, I don’t have beans, I don’t have yam, in fact, I don’t have common salt”. God is not really bothered about the challenges you have, but if the only thing you tell Him you have are challenges, then He can let you have them.

I know, you probably “have” an accommodation challenge, or a mobility challenge. You probably “have” low food stock at home, or a low salary. You may even “have” low self-esteem, or weaknesses that hunts you everyday.

Yeah, they may all be visible for everyone to see, but they won’t change the fact that “you can have whatsoever you say”.

As Believers, we don’t dwell on what we see; rather, we speak forth the unseen to replace what is seen. The Bible says “physical things are temporal and subject to change”. In other words, “No Garri” is subject to change, “No Sugar” is subject to change. But they’d only begin to change when you speak forth what you want to change them to.

So instead of saying “Common sugar, I don’t have”, say “I will soon become a major distributor of sugar”. Stop saying the negative things you have, and start saying the positive things you can have. Your positive declarations may not pay your bills, but it would move you to do things that will help you pay your bills.

Asides the righteousness that we have in Christ, there’s something called the righteousness of faith in Christ. This is the justification that makes our prayers, positive declarations or actions towards God true.

For instance, it should be a lie to say you are strong when you are weak. But in Joel 3:10, the bible says, “… Let the weak say I am strong”. In other words, it is permissible for the one who is weak to say he is strong in Christ, and what he said will be accepted as true.

It is wrong to believe that you can have a biological child at age hundred, but if it’s God you believe, then you are right. The righteousness of faith justifies all your transactions of faith. Now you’d understand why the bible says, “the Just shall live by his faith”. Faith is legally accepted by God, that’s why a weak person can say he is strong and he becomes strong. A poor person can say he is rich and he becomes rich. A lie would not produce the result of your declaration, but faith will. Let me show you a scripture:

Romans 10:
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

So we see in verse 6 that the righteousness of faith would always speak otherwise. Stop considering the impossibility of Jesus ascending or descending, stop thinking you cannot be healed or have a breakthrough just because you can’t see it, stop thinking you can’t receive salvation just because Jesus is now in heaven. Verse 9 tells us how to engage the righteousness of faith, it says if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe it in our heart, we shall be saved.

So you’d receive your healing or breakthrough if you declare it with your mouth and believe it in your heart, and that’s because you’re functioning by the righteousness of faith in Christ. Faith is a righteous system. As far as faith is concerned, everything contrary to what you believe can be a lie. The fact that you have low sperm count can be a lie if you choose to declare what God’s word says in faith. This is so powerful, the world’s truth can be turned into a lie by scriptural truth, it just depends on where you’re operating from.

As I conclude, let me create a balance. You can’t claim to have what God’s word didn’t say you have or inspire you to have. Remember it is called “the righteousness of faith in Christ”. The nature of Christ is the Word of God, and faith comes by the Word of God. Claiming you have a car in faith when you don’t is a lie, but declaring that the Lord shall meet your need for a car is true, because the bible says God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

I believe you now know the importance of faith in your communication with God. God doesn’t have any problem with you approaching Him in prayer or making positive declarations, but whatever you ask of Him, you must believe that you’ve received it, that’s the only way you can have it.
