I’m pretty sure many of you didn’t know this…
I was reading Dr Isaiah Wealth’s book last night and I couldn’t get my mind off one of the first statements he made.
There are 3 dimensions to prosperity:
– The economics of prosperity
– The spiritism of prosperity
– The geography of prosperity
Even before I began to read the explanations, scriptures began to connect in my head and it already made sense to me.
The economics of prosperity refers to the knowledge of money and business required to prosper. They are the natural principles required to prosper. Rendering service, giving value, savings, investments and so on. I’m sure you know these things.
The spiritism of prosperity refers to spiritual principles you must engage in to activate the God kind of prosperity. Yes, there’s a God-kind of prosperity, a prosperity that doesn’t come with sorrow.
Offerings, tithes, giving to the poor, giving to your parents, giving to your pastor, giving to your mentors, kingdom advancement projects, all of these spiritual practices further enhances the works of your hand.
While economics says, “You must save for the rainy day”, spiritism says, “He that gives to the poor shall not lack”. There is nothing wrong with saving money, but if you save without giving to the poor, chances are that you’d spend your savings on sorrowful events. It is the spirit realm that sponsors the physical realm.
They’d never teach you this in the school of business, but those who have made it in business know it. If you neglect spiritual principles, you’d struggle in business, no matter how many business technics you know.
The geography of prosperity refers to the necessity of geographical location to your prosperity. The poverty of many people can be traced to them being in the wrong location.
I remember how God told me to accept a 45,000 Naira job offer in 2017. It was far below my status. I even had another offer that was likely to pay more than 3 times that amount, but God didn’t let me. He insisted that I stayed in the place with the lesser salary.
It was only a matter of months before I realized that it wasn’t about what I was earning in that place, but about what God wanted to do with me from that place.
We all have to be in a place where we can look Northward, Eastward, Southward, and Westward, like Father Abraham.
There is a particular place or location you must be per time to encounter the resources that God has made available for you.
There is no scarcity with God, your problem may be location. We see this play out with Elijah. He prophesied drought in the land, and just because he must continue to enjoy supernatural supplies, God instructed him to go hide himself by brook Cherith. God had commanded ravens to supply food for him there. If Elijah didn’t move, he’d probably have died of hunger.
After a while we were told that the brook Elijah drank from had dried up. When this happened, God had to relocate him again to Zarephath where he had commanded a widow woman to sustain him.
I perceive that some of you may have overstayed in your current place of employment. It’s probably why you keep having issues with your boss. There’s nothing you do that pleases him or her any longer, even when what you do is good. It might not be about your boss, it might be God calling your attention to the secret place so He can unveil the next agenda for you.
Before I got that job in 2017, I had worked with a Pastor for over 2 years. This man was a role model when it comes to spirituality. He was strict and very discipline. After two years of working with him, he changed. He became mean to me. There was nothing that I did that was pleasing to him. Even when our clients commended my work in the international front, he’d act as though my efforts didn’t matter.
I had to resign when it became unbearable. He began to use our little secrets to discredit me in public meetings. I cried heavily one of those days when he used a personal concern I confided in him against me in public.
When that happened, I left Lagos for about 15 days to seek the face of the Lord. That was when it occurred to me that God wanted me to move on. God had probably left that place since, and I didn’t realize it. Don’t remain in a place that God has left, neither should you remain with a person that God has left.
If the people of Israel had stepped out of Goshen during those trying times in Egypt, they would have suffered the same fate with Egypt.
While they were in the wilderness, we were told that God fed them with manner for 40 years, but as soon as they entered Canaan, the manna ceased. They began to eat the fruit of the land of Canaan.
Despite your hard work, if you’re in the wrong location, you’d still suffer lack and want. This is why at every point of your life, you must seek the face of God for direction.
I think the challenge with many believers is that they’re still babies, they don’t know how to hear God’s voice for themselves. This article is already too long so I’d just recommend a few books and how you can get them.
