IF GOD GAVE YOU HIS SON, CAN’T HE GIVE YOU A VISA?
I know you’ve read John 3:16 over and again, but has it really occurred to you that God actually “gave His Son” for you?
Look at this, “John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.
Now think about it, if He could give His son, can’t He give you a job? If He could give His son, can’t He give you a visa? If He could give His son, can’t He deliver you from whatsoever situation you may be in right now?
The amazing thing is, He even gave you His son while you were still a sinner. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. If God made such a huge sacrifice for you while you were yet a sinner, what will He not do now that you’ve been converted? What will He not do?
Luke 11:13 gives a perfect answer. It says, “If a man, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto his children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? (emphasies mine)”.
For me, the Holy Spirit is the most important need of man on this earth, yet see how easy God has made receiving the same Holy Spirit, just by asking. If the Holy Spirit can be received that easily, should it be difficult for God to give you a husband or even a wife? Should it be difficult for God to set up a business for you and even accompany it with amazing deals? Should it be difficult for God to heal you of whatever sickness or disease that may be tormenting your body right now? If giving the Holy Spirit is not hard, can there be anything too hard for God to do?
It’s time for us to begin to see God as the LOVE that He is. God loves us with an everlasting love. Just in case you have no idea what His love covers, let me show you:
1 Corinthians 13:
4 Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride;
5 Love’s ways are ever fair, it takes no thought for itself; it is not quickly made angry, it takes no account of evil;
6 It takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but has joy in what is true;
7 Love has the power of undergoing all things, having faith in all things, hoping all things.
8 Though the prophet’s word may come to an end, tongues come to nothing, and knowledge have no more value, love has no end.
I need you to read that over and again until it sinks. That’s how God relates with you, and that’s how you’re expected to see Him. If you see Him contrary to what we just read, you’ve complicated God in your head.
“But Anslem, I’ve been praying and asking God about something for a long time and he has not answered”. Really? Have you really been praying and asking God?
Some of us just need to retrace our steps and get back home like the prodigal son did. We’ve complicated the basic principles of the Father and this has made God complicated in our head.
In Matt 11:29-30, Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”. Any idea in your head that makes God uneasy and complicated is ungodly.
The gift of a person towards you determines your worth to that person. If God could give you His Son and His Spirit so easily, then you’re worth more than the pricest gold in this world to Him. It means there’s literally nothing that He’d trade in exchange for your soul, nothing!
Let’s get back home. Get back to the basics. Learn of Him. His yoke is easy. His burden is light. May you find rest for your soul!
Hope this has brought enlightenment to someone.
Remain ever blessed!
