TIMELY NOTES!
Faith is rooted in love. That’s more like saying, “Even if my faith in God’s word has failed to produce the results I need, I’d still love and serve Him”. How many wives will divorce their husband just because the solution he prescribed didn’t work? People may mock her, but she can’t possibly leave her husband for that kind of thing. They got married, not just because the husband is good, but mostly because she decided to be with him. That’s how love works; the bible says it covers the multitudes of sin. Flaws may arise from time to time, but their love for each other will cover them.
How do you respond when people mock your Christian faith? Honestly, it’s painful to love the Almighty God and still experience failure in life. One would think that since He is the Almighty, life would be a smooth sail for His lovers. But I’m not following God’s word just because it works; I’m following it because it’s what God said. If what God says will attract pain or mockery to me, then that’s okay, I’d still go ahead and do it, because it’s what God said. Job understood this principle when said, “Even if God kills him, he will still serve God”. Habakkuk said, “though everything may not be working, he’d yet serve the Lord… “. Love is not just about getting pleasures; it’s more about commitment and sacrifice towards one another.
That’s how far we’d go on today’s Timely Note. But take these last words; WHEN YOUR FAITH FAILS, LOVE MUST REMAIN. WHENEVER HATRED OR BITTERNESS ACCOMPANIES THE FAILURE OF YOUR FAITH, THEN YOUR LOVE FOR GOD IS JUST FOR PLEASURES. Have a most fruitful day, in Jesus precious name!
